!SOURCE: Email from Helen Patrikus (email hidden.us) to the Whipple Website, 15 Oct 1999, citing a 1978 DAR (Daughters of the American Revolution) membership application submitted by Clara Kearney Hansen. Indicates that Huldah was born 16 Jun 1756 in Cumberland, Rhode Island, and died 8 Aug 1817 in Cumberland. Also shows Huldah married to Nathan Weatherhead on 29 Feb 1776.

Arnold's VR (14:394 Providence Gazette) notes the death of: WEATHERHEAD, Mrs. Huldah, wife of Nathan, at Cumberland, in 62nd year, July 31, 1817.

Arnold's VR (Cumberland, p.130) appears to have a wrong entry for Huldah's death. The same date (10/6/1767) is also given for Huldah's brother William Whipple.

Hopefully, these two good sources will establish the correct date of death for Huldah (Whipple)

!DEATH: James N. Arnold gives death date 6 Aug 1767; Helen Patrikus gives death 8 Aug 1817.

!CONFLICT: J.N. Arnold (p. 130) lists a death date for Huldah Whipple of 6 Aug 1767 in Cumberland, Rhode Island. However, earlier (p. 65), he indicates that a Huldah Whipple (daughter of Samuel) married Nathan Weatherhead (son of Enock) on 29 Feb 1776; Elder Abner Ballou performed the ceremony. J.N. Arnold also lists children of this union on p. 128. Is the death date given on p. 64 in error?
