Otis B. was alive in the 1870 and 1880 census in Tunkhannock. I found an Otis B. Whipple in Sunnyside cemetery in Tunkhannock, Wyoming, PA. Otis has both a monument and a headstone and both read died March 30,, 1893 and headstone also engraved died aged 61 years.Obit, Wyoming Democrat, published April 1893 - "Otis Whipple, an old-time citizen, died at his residence in this place (Tunkhannock) on Thursday of last week, aged about sixty years, and was buried Sunnyside Cemetery on Sunday. Mr. Whipple had been ailing for a long time, and a few years ago he had a light stroke of paralysis which affected his mind, and from which he never recovered. He was a peaceable, industrious, good citizen when in health. He leaves a wife and adopted daughter to mourn his death." (Tunkhannock Republican Fri April 7, 1893 added "He leaves a wife, daughter, and two sisters")
