!SOURCE: Email from Pat (email hidden) to Weldon Whipple, 27 Aug 2004. Pat asserts that the Lucy Miller who married Thomas Stevens is a different Lucy Miller than the one who was the daughter of Josiah Miller and Jemima Whipple:
There are two different Lucy Miller's. One is Lucy Mary Miller, born 1766 in Canaan, CT - and I'm not sure who her parents are. I believe she is the Lucy Miller who married Thomas Stevens and moved with him to PA. Lucy Miller Stevens outlived her spouse, and can be found on the 1850 census, widowed, aged 84, and born in CT living in the household of her son Zebulon H. Stevens.Lucy Miller born 15 Nov 1769 to Josiah and Jemima Whipple Miller was too young and born in RI. I realize census takers were far from infallible, but no one else in the Stevens household was born outside of PA, making it unlikely that CT was pulled from thin air. The age listed in the census also matches Lucy Mary Miller, but not the Lucy who was the daughter of Josiah and Jemima. I believe I do have some additional info on her if you're interested.
