Thomas Whipple (1787-1887) of Sullivan Co. NY served as a "fifer" in Capt Alexander McPherson's company, Col. Putnam Farrington's regiment of NY militia in Roxbury, NY from 8 Sept 1814 to 10 Dec 1814 . He received a pension and bounty land for his service.
