The Salem VRs do not record the birth of John H. Whipple {23915}, whose WGW record indicates he was born 17 Sep 1826, while his brother Albert {23920}, whose birth is listed in the Salem VRs, was born 23 Dec 1826. In other words, the Salem VRs list seven children of Jonathan and Mary, including George but excluding John H. I just checked the Massachusetts Vital Records, 1841-1910 v.463 p.581 on the NEHGS site and found the death record for John H. Whipple {23915}, which shows that he is the son of John Whipple {3439} and Mary Hitchings {3446}, who were born in Hamilton and Salem, MA respectively. John H. Whipple {23915} was age 69-3-20 when he died, giving him a birth date of abt. Sept. 17, 1826; POB given as Salem, Essex, MA.
