• I'd like to make the case that Elizabeth Whipple {121199} is the dau. of Benjamin Whipple {9881} and Sarah Fisher {73737} based on a couple of things:
  1. in the 1850 census Elizabeth and husband Joseph Carpenter {121199} are living in Killingly, Windham, CT next to Benjamin Whipple {9881} and his family;
  2. Elizabeth (Whipple) Carpenter's first two children were named Benjamin and Sarah. Probably Sarah F. Carpenter {121201} is Sarah Fisher Carpenter; and
  3. Elizabeth Whipple was born Jan. 1818 in Killingly, Windham, CT and her parents were married in 1817, so the birth date "fits."
• Joseph Carpenter of Stonington (New London, CT) and Elisabeth T. Whipple of Killingly (Windham, CT) were married in Killingly, Windham, CT on Oct. 31, 1842 by Rev. Henry Robinson. (src: Connecticut Town Marriage Records (Barbour Collection), Killingly 2:15)
