!SOURCE: Mail from Charles M. Whipple to Weldon Whipple, 5 Nov 2002. Gives death 17 Dec 1734 in Smithfield, R.I. Includes xerox copy of Smithfield, Rhode Island Deaths, p. 351, which contains two adjacent death entries for two Eleazer Whipples: "Whipple, Elezear, Jr., yeoman, departed this life 2 March 1732/3 (3:50-51)" and, on the line below, "Whipple, Elezear, yeoman, departed this life 17 Dec 1734 (3:45)." Charles notes at the bottom of the xerox: "Although the above states that Eleazer Jr. was a yeoman, he was only 13 y[ea]rs old. Also, there is a family record, that was held by a relative in Indiana, that I saw. I asked for a copy but was never sent one--she is now dead. That record corresponded to the above."
