The Eleazer who m Lydia PeckYdied Oct 30, 1830 acccording to the Genealogical History of the Desc of Joseph Peck, Ira B Peck 1868.Y Lydia Peck was born June 7, 1787 and they married Aug 31, 1810.Y The couple resided Richfield, Otsego County NY where he died. An Eleazer appears there in the 1820 census.Y Lydia Peck Whipple d Sept 13, 1872 and was last known Yresiding in Orangeville NY in Y1864.Y Lydia was the dau of Peleg Peck who left RI 1795 and moved to Richfield, NY and m Betsey Sweet. Y I had the Eleazer who m Lydia Peck as the son of Joseph Whipple and Alice Knight. An Eleazer YWhipple m Achsah Fairbanks in YMayfield NY Feb 12, 1829. That Eleazer was Yb about 1785 and, according to FindaGrave, he was the son of Joseph Whipple and Alice B. Knight. Achsah Fairbanks was the widow of Rev John Stebbins and daughter of Nahum Fairbanks.Y The dates of Lydia and Achsah overlap so can't be same Eleazer with two wives.
Back to Lydia Peck who m Eleazer Whipple.Y The Peck line from which Lydia descends from were at Fly Creek, Otsego County, NY. There were also other Whipples in the area including Reuben Whipple (wife Alice Sprague) and a David Whipple who had a dau Eliza who died young and is buried there.Y We also know James Whipple (wife Sybel Sturdevant) was also in Otsego County but I don't find him at Fly Creek or Richfield.
So which Eleazer is it who m Lydia Peck?Y If he's not of Joseph, Ycould David and/or Reuben Whipple be related?
