"I've noticed that all your entries for the Daniel Whipple born 10-11-1698 in Providence, R. I. to Samuel and Elizabeth Eddy say that he died April 6, 1789. I've looked at the excellent slate stone in Locust Ridge and it very clearly says that Elder Daniel Whipple died April 16th 1789 in the 97th year of his age (meaning, I take it, that he was actually age 96 and some months/days?) This would make this Brattleboro Daniel Whipple born in either 1692 or 1693?The stone is very clear, the 16th. All other webmasters and sites have this same unexplained discrepancy. Can you explain this? I have a web page online about the various Daniel Whipples in Brattleboro at http://www.geocities.com/seekingthephoenix/w/dwhipple.htm"
