!BIOGRAPHY: "His will lists cause of death consumption and says he died in is home. It says he had 5 children, 1 living, and that two sisters remain of a family of 12, and that he was the last to bear the family name. Married: Hannah McNutt (she having at time of marriage one daughter, Sarah - Sarah is however listed as Sarah Whipple) Addt'l info: Borlace was a stone cutter. On an 1871 atlas of Twin Township in Preble Co. Borlace's house is shown very near Brennersville in the NW corner of the twnshp. along Price's Creek. Also shown is the mill he ran later in life which is called Whipple's Mill in a history of Preble Co. OH. This is about in the center of Section 8 in the township. Borlace shows up twice in a summary of Preble Co Common Pleas Court records. On March 17, 1846 he was one of nine men indicted for riot. He was bailed out by a son-in-law Robert P. Nisbit. Again on March 7, 1848 he is listed as fined and jailed for one hour for riot. (I don't know what he was rioting about)" --J.W. Rowe
