!CHILD: Why is son Job's surname Whipple, named after Alice? See: How to Get Whipples from Angells on the Whipple Website. According to Clark Edwards (email hidden), in email to Weldon Whipple on 23 Mar 1998: Alice Whipple gave birth to son Job when she was 18 years old--before she was married. "She died three years later, at the age of 21. Somewhere along the line she married Abraham Angell, who was 20 years old when Job Whipple was born. I don't know if Abraham was the father or not. And I have not yet learned when the marriage between Alice and Abraham took place."
