The county of Kankakee was not established until 1853. This establishes that Mary past away living in Momence, Will County, Illinois. Records in Momence report that it is remembered that she and her baby died in the year of 1946 [i.e. 1846].She and her baby might of been buried in what was known at that time in the Hess Cemetery. Today it is the Shrontz Cemetery located on the south side of the Kankakee River where the town of Momence was first founded.
