Gives name Marcy, who "I think, m. a Staples, and was mother of Nathan Staples." Later (p. 63), in father Oliver's will dated 29 Dec 1755, we read " I give and bequeath to my youngest Daughter Marcy mowry two hundred and fifty pounds in Bills as above said when she my said Daughter Marcy attains to the age of Eighteen years." Note (Weldon Whipple): It is implausible that the Marcy Mowry who was the youngest daughter of Oliver could also be the wife of Nathan Staples. A Mary/Marcy Mowry and Nathan Staples (b. 1709) were parents of a Nathan Staples (Jr.), b. about 1735, d. 3 Feb 1824. That Mary/Marcy is not the Marcy who was the daughter of Oliver Mowry. Oliver's daughter would have been born after 29 Dec 1737 in order not to have reached the age of 18 by 29 Dec 1755. The Marcy/Mary who married Nathan Staples is at RIN 102031.
