Matthew was a farmer of Hixton Wisc, born in New York and came to Wisconsin in 1850.Y Married 1832 Miss Lorance Wilcox, native of New York who died 6.16.1835 leaving one son Calvin W.Y He married second in 1837 to Clarinda Whipple born 8.6.1814 with whom he had eight children.Y On Calvin's marriage record however his mother is listed as Marietta Letson.
