!SOURCE: Email from N. Combs to Weldon Whipple, 13 Jun 2003. Regarding Mary Dexter's possible daughter Mary Angell, Norma writes:
"I'd like to propose that Mary Dexter (6292) and her husband John Angell {6308} are also the parents of Mary Angell (abt 1715-9/9/1748), first wife of Joseph Owen {6353}. {Mary Ruttenburg 6353 is his third wife.} John Sterling's North Burial Ground book says that Mary (Angell) Owen is the daughter of John Angell. The marriage record for Joseph Owen and Mary Angell says that she is the daughter of John Angell. In addition to the comment in Sterling's book, Mary (Angell) Owen is buried in the same area of the North Burial Ground as Mary (Dexter) Angell and her son John Angell {6311}. John and Mary (Dexter) Angell were married December 10, 1713, and Mary Angell's birth of abt 1715 is in line to have been their first child, named after her mother. If my supposition is true, then the descendants of Mary (Angell) Owen below are Whipple descendants. Perhaps one of your other researchers/contributors could shed some light on my conjecture.
