!SOURCE: Email from Beverly H (email hidden) to Weldon Whpple, 23 Mar 2018. "Frederick first went to New York and married there Caroline Bancroft born 1823 in Oxford, Chenango, New York the daughter of Dr. Reuben Bancroft, of Torrington CT and wife Angelina Bennett. They married June 28 1842 and had at least three children, all born in Howell, Livingston, Michigan. They are found in the 1850+ census there and Frederick consistently indicates born in CT about 1812. ... Apparently Caroline died prior to the 1870 census as Frederick is then living in a hotel in Howell MI."
