!SOURCE: Frank V. McDonald, Inquiries Relating to the Ancestors and Descendants of Job Whipple, of Cumberland, Rhode Island, and Greenwich, Washington County, New York (Cambridge: University Press, John Wilson & son, 1881), p. 15. Quotes a letter from Emeline Whipple, which states that Ephraim is the father of Job Whipple and Marmaduke Whipple, each with a different wife. Earlier in the book, McDonald seemed to indicate that Job was instead the same person as RIN 10927, son of Daniel Whipple and Anne Chamberlain.
