!BIRTH: "Probably the son of John and Lydia (Hoar) Whipple, [Job] was probably born 25 December 1688, Taunton, Mass. [25 December 1690, Providence, R.I.] and some think he was born as early as 1687 and may be an illegitimate child of John Whipple [and Lydia Hoar?]." Philip Currier, The Currier Family Records, v.4, p. 10. Email from Earle K. Peckham (email hidden) to Weldon Whipple on 8 Jan 1998 gives birthdate of 24 Dec 1690.
