!SOURCE: "Descendants of William Denison," email from B. Huckins to Weldon Whipple, 15 Feb 2008. Gives birth 16 Jun 1753 in Preston, CT. (Previously entered as 1748 in Poquetanuck, New London, Connecticut.) Died aft 1832 when "Went to Trumbell, Ohio to live with children." Further notes/states:

• Elijah states his date of birth was 6.16.1753 in his Rev War Pension application. He states his mother lived No. Stonington and they lived in Preston. A Joseph Whipple signs an affidavit for him attesting that he is who he says he is, but no relationship given. He applies for a transfer when he moves to Trumbull 1835 stating his children are living there. In 1832 he stated he was 79 making his DOB abt 1753. He enlisted once and was discharged, returning to his mother's home (his father must have been dec'd as he does not mention him) and he re-enlisted and traveled with a Jonathan Ames to Providence. When he returned home the second time he states his mother was widowed and she requested he stay with her so he sent a substitute by the name of Simon Denison probably related to Rebecca. Based on the evidence in his pension application this Elijah did not live in VT, at least he does not state so, his pension was paid thur CT then Ohio.

!SOURCE: Email and post to email hidden by David Filcek (email hidden), 8 Feb 2013: "In Ellington [Tuscola County, Michigan] Cemetery is a Whipple Family marker listing Mrs. Rebecca Whipple wife of Mr. Elijah Whipple who died December 9, 1788 at the age of 35. We have approximate dates for Elijah's birth and death 1752 - 1834 no months or days given. No Date for his marriage .. your Rebecca Denison could fit this criteria."
