Identifies this Mary (whose birth was previously listed as about 1734, a resident of Cumberland, Providence, Rhode Island) as the Mary born 18 Jun 1743, who was the daughter of Nathaniel Whipple and Bethiah Slack.

• States that the Mary Whipple who married Oliver Blackinton is definitely not the daughter of Nathaniel Whipple and Bethiah Slack. He cites "page 523 of 'History of the Town of Richmond, NH', by William Bassett, 1884, available on Heritage Quest. This genealogy book states that Mary Whipple, born 18 Jun 1743, and daughter of Nathaniel Whipple and Bethiah Slack, married Peter Aldrich" (not Oliver Blackinton).
• Regarding Mary's birth and marriage dates: Some sources give her birth 11 Jun 1743, which would make her 12 years old when her first child was born. "We do know that this Mary Whipple was born about 1735 based on her death record in VR Attleborough, MA, Essex Institute, 1934, p. 636, which states "Mary Blackington, wid. Oliver, Dec. 6, 1823, in her 88th year". And we know that Mary Whipple married Oliver Blackington per "Vital Record of Rhode Island, 1636- 1850", James N. Arnold, Cumberland, RI, part 5 of v. 3, p. 14 and p. 66, although the date of marriage is confused as "Jul 17 ...." on p. 14 and "about Jul 17, 1760" on p. 66. The date of marriage was probably 17 Jul 1754, considering the birth date of her eldest child Olive, and she would have been about 19 years old if married on that date and about 20 years old when Olive was born."
