Jonathan Woodbury was a Rev War Sol, Continental Army, enlisted Franklin County, MA 1780 age 19 thru 1783 (Mass Soldiers and Sailors in the War of the Revolution ). His pension papers signed in 1820 (pg 3 of 11) state he supports his wife Hannah, his mother Margaret Fitts, dau Harriett in poor health and two orphan grandchildren "viz Jonathan W. Whipple, aged 17 years and Joel G. Whipple aged 14 years" (Rev War Sol Pension File #W26127). Jonathan Woodbury was town moderator at Concord, VT 1809 and he and Hannah had 14 children. He was the son of Jonathan Woodbury and Margaret Fitts of Sutton, Worcester, MA who never married and had but the one child Jonathan born 1762.
