Christopher came to America with his wife Catharina (Lauer) Wippel and four children aboard the ship Strabo. The family arrived in Baltimore; 6 July 1840. By the 1850 Census, the family is living in New Sewickley Township, Beaver County, Pennsylvania and two additional children, born in America, are enumerated. Father of Catharina, Carl, Thomas, Barbara, Adam and Christina."
