!SOURCE: Email from Tom Stone (email hidden) to the Whipple Website. Cites information from Jill Stone, who cites "info we have received from the Department of Veterans Affairs." Note: "George H. Stone aged 78 years of address "Jersey Av, New Brighton, Staten Island, New York" signed an affidavit that Armenia was never married before and Charles' first wife had died and that he knew them for many years and that he was the brother of the soldier who's widow should be getting the pension! The affidavit was dated Aug. 20, 1914."
