!SOURCE: Email from Dia Logan Crevier (email hidden) to Weldon Whipple, 6 Nov 2014: "I found an indexed record where John Williams filed for divorce a year after they [John and Miranda Jane Whipple] were married (she was only 16 then). I sent an email to Utah archives requesting a more details. It must have been after the divorce that she returned to Iowa where there were still a lot of Whipple's residing. That is where she had Mary Ellen Barton and most likely married David Barton."
