!SOURCE: Email from N. Combs to Weldon Whipple, 7 Mar 2011: "From Find A Grave, Riverside Cemetery, Plymouth, Wayne, MI: William Smith Whipple {37295} Feb. 11, 1836-1901." In a note dated 20 Oct 2013, N. Combs points out that the following is in error: "Son of William Whipple and Zilpah Smith. Husband of Lydia Hazen. Father of Lorana, Elmer, Lucinda, Louisa, William, and Edward Charles Whipple." Instead, N. Combs writes (20 Oct 2013): "Yhave concludedYthat the William S. Whipple who married Lydia Hazen is not the son of William Henry Whipple {37254} and Zilpah Smith {37292}.Y The Find A Grave entry for William Smith Whipple {37295} in the Riverside CemeteryYincorrectly states "Husband of Lydia Hazen. Father of Lorana, Elmer, Lucinda, Louisa, William, and Edward Charles Whipple.Y This statement should be applied to William S. Whipple (Jun. 23, 1822-Aug. 24, 1903), also the son of a William Whipple--see death record below--as well as census and other records establishing his D/POB as 1822 in OH.Y (Ancestry.com's Public Member Tree has several listings showing that his parents are William (S. or W.) Whipple 1790-1828 and Abigail Harrington 1795-1864 and that he is the brother of Stephen H.
