[Waters Wanton Whipple] is a brother to William Wright Whipple and Caroline V. Whipple, my 3rd Ggrandmother. I have family photos of him, Abby Whipple Bontecou and Waters Whipple Braman ,William Wright Braman, and Lydia V. Braman, my 2nd GG and have researched the family surnames. Ancestry.com recently added New York, Wills and Probate Records, 1659-1999. William W. Whipple states in his will: "Lastly, I do hereby nominate and appoint my brother Waters W. Whipple and my son in law Philip S. Dorlon of Troy, aforesaid the executors of this my last Will and Testament."
!CONFLICT: Some sources give the parents of Waters Wanton Whipple as Ezek or Eseck Whipple (RIN 33167) and Mindwell Waters (RIN 33173). Others show his parents as William Whipple (RIN 23954)and Abigail Wright (RIN 23952?).

argument that Waters Wanton Whipple's parents were William Whipple and Abigail
Wright/Knight by citing Life Sketches of Government Officials and Members of
the Legislature of the State of NY, Wm McElroy and Alex McBridge, 1875,
pgs 144-146:Maj. Waters Whipple Braman (member of the House,
resided West Troy, lumber dealer of Troy). Waters Whipple Braman was born in
Troy, NY 4.20.1840. The source indicates "His parents, both of whom are dead,
were Horace and Caroline E. Braman {43400}, the maiden name of the
latter being Whipple. His mother died when he was but five years of age,
giving him away on her death bed to her brother Waters W. Whipple {34940} of
Troy, who had been a father to her. Mr. Whipple faithfully performed the
trust reposed in him and cared for young Braman as well as he had been an own
son . . ."
