Notes

William M. Whipple b 4.3.1840, m abt 1866 Rachel Elisabeth Fox b 8.1847 NY. In 1870 they were living in Enfield, Tompkins County NY. There is a William right age living w Elisha Whipple prior to that. By 1880 William and Rachel Elisabeth had moved to Dawson Nebraska and in 1900 the family was in Lawrence County Tenn. William was a farmer and postmaster and d 8.24.1916 in Tennessee and is bur in the Sumertown Cem in Lawrence County where they were living in 1910. Rachel/Elisabeth went to Louisiana to live with her son Asa after William's death and is bur with his family in the Mer Rouge Cem, "wife of W. M. Whipple".
