Notes the following: "Pure speculation, but the daughter of William Whipple {108348} is buried in the same cemetery as Philander Mead Whipple {95460}, son of Arca Whipple {95449} (who may be the son of Judge/General William Whipple). Might Philander and William be brothers? On the 1870 and 1880 censuses they are leaving near each other in Bay Co., MI. Both were born in NY. BTW, where does Arca Whipple {94967} fit in? I've been trying to find William Whipple {108348} on the 1850 and 1860 censuses, but no luck yet. In 1850 Philander M. Whipple {95460} was in Jackson, Jackson, MI, and in 1860 he and family lived in Chesterfield, Macomb, MI."

!SOURCE: Email from Beverly H (email hidden) to Weldon Whpple, 22 Mar 2018. About 1857 William left New York and went to Michigan. He was living with his future in-laws in 1860 in Thetford MI in 1860, William and Abigail Green from NY and VT.
