Norma writes: "Despite the discrepancies on the census records as to where Leonard Whipple {50556} and his wife Alice A. {50566} were born, I'd like to make them the parents of Maude A. Whipple {72022} as everything else fits. There is a notation on John J. Whipple's {33913} page that he was one of the original settlers of Ayer's Cliff, Canada; and two of Leonard's siblings were noted as having been born in Canada. Leonard says on the 1880 and 1910 censuses that he was born in Canada; the 1900 census states that he was born in VT. There is some new info on the people in the descendancy report--birthdates, brother of Maude, etc." Norma then cites the following:

• Census 1: 1880, Age 30, farmer, b. CAN, parents b. NH, living Brookline, Norfolk, MA w/wife Alice 26 (b. MA, parents b. MA) & dau. Maude Alice 3 (Source: 1880 Census, Brookline, Norfolk, MA, 358C.)
• Census 2: June 28, 1900, Age 50, superintendent Childwald Park Hotel, marr. 26 yrs., 3/3 children, b. VT, father b. NH, mother b. CAN, living Hopkinton, St. Lawrence, NY w/wife Alice A. 45 (parents b. MA), dau. Maud A. 22 & son Harold 2 (Source: 1900 Census, Hopkinton, St. Lawrence, NY, 41.)
• Census 3: April 16, 1910, Age 60, own income, marr. 34 yrs., 3/2 children, b. CAN, father b. MA, mother b. VT, living 2nd ward Medford, Middlesex, MA w/wife Alice A. 56 (b. CAN, parents b. VT) & son Harold 11 (Source: 1910 Census, Medford, Middlesex, MA, 55.)
