!SOURCE: Email from Joanne Lahr-Kreischer to Weldon Whipple, citing post to the Whipple Mailing List by Carolyn Agenjo (email hidden) on 2 Oct 2007. The post cites photographs of "the family sheets from an old Bible - they refer to Joseph Paul (b.1783), who married Martha Whipple (b. 1789), in Pownal, VT. December 1815. She was the daughter of Ephraim and Zerviah (Mason) Whipple." The post further notes that "Joseph Paul descends from William Paul, born in Scotland 1624, settled in Massachusetts 1704. A short genealogy of this line is included in the Bible."
