!SOURCE: Email from email hidden to Weldon Whipple, 18 Apr 2006. Identifies James' parents as Russell Whipple and Mary June Sibley. She also writes the following:

The 1850 census has the children of James and Mary to include an Abra Sultina (I have her name as Ambra S.) born abt 1839 and a daughter Oliva born abt 1843; James is a shoemaker. I have James b abt 1814 and Anna Maria Dodge b 1817 in Pelham, dau of Daniel Dodge and Esther Brown b 1793 of Stonington, CT. Esther is the dau of Robert Brown b 1764 and Lydia Dewey.
