She continues:

Census says Josephus born VT, bio says NH. He was Postmaster at Westford VT 1841-44 had a son Edwin B. (rootsweb, History of VT, Town of Westford) Josephus is recorded as holding public offices in Westford and lived just outside of the town having come there in 1807. Alternate source says he was the postmaster for 11 years whereupon the duty was taken over by his son Edwin who lived on the homestead.
