!PARENTS: "The 1860 census says that Daniel Whipple was born in Tompkins Co., NY on Dec. 1819. In 1820 there were four Whipple men listed on the census for Tompkins Co. (town of Groton), NY--David, Ithamar, Joel, and Jonathan. Only David and Ithamar had males under age 10 in their household, but the probable two in the WGW--Ithamar Whipple {7130} and his brother David {7135}--have a good line of descendants which don't include a Daniel Whipple born in Dec. 1819 in Tompkins Co., NY. (I assume that the Joel Whipple is another brother {7131} as is Jonathan Whipple 7136.)" --N. Combs.
