- The family immediately before this one is named Garrett, and it looks as if the census taker has put " under each surname on the page instead of writing them out. So, the name could be Bender (as in the online marriage record) or Garrett per the " under the previous name. Unfortunately, I haven't yet found them on a later under either surname.
