"Elizabeth was the mother of record of two of the children, Jennie Maria Whipple and Daniel Henry Whipple and was likely the mother of Marion C. Whipple born about 1870, Charles who died as a baby and perhaps of Sarah Annie. ... According to a bio I found, D. Henry Whipple, the son, was a commercial traveler and had been preparing a Whipple family history in the years prior to his death. Unfortunately I could not find any publication of his work."

"(Daniel) Henry Whipple graduated from the Bridgewater Normal School (Massachusetts) and taught school for over ten years and then became the Superintendent of school in Millis Massachusetts. After he gave up teaching he was a commercial traveler for a mining company. He was gifted musically and a lecturer on his travels and had written a history of the Spanish missions of California. His NY death record only shows 'died on the North Pier' Dec 1915 in Manhattan and from his obit that he died unexpectedly while on a visit to New York City. He was buried January 3, 1916 in the Whipple lot at Walnut Grove where his father Charles would be buried later that year."
