According to Annette: "I just called my aunt Teresa and altho her mind isn't too good anymore she confirmed what I thot. My grandfather (John), his brother, Clyde, a deaf mute, was never married. It lists him with an older wife and 3 children. Teresa took care of Clyde the last few years he was alive."
