!SOURCE: Email from Janice Reynolds (email hidden) to the Whipple Website, 23 Jan 2005. Cites "a hand written listing of births of [William C. Whipple's] children by [his wife] Sarah Williams Whipple." Gives birth 13 Apr 1852 (showing his parents as William C. Whipple and Sarah Williams). She also shows Charles married to Octavia DeLong with a son Lewis Whipple. However, N. Combs, in email to Weldon Whipple 17 Mar 2020, points out that the Charles H. Whipple who married Octavia DeLong is actually this Charles' uncle, the brother of his father, William C. Whipple.
