!SOURCE: Email from N. Combs to Weldon Whipple, 15 Feb 2019. "Charles Whipple {7334} was b. in PA abt 1864 (age 16, 1880 census, Spring, Crawford, PA). He, Susan, and Joseph B. Whipple are enumerated in the same household. ... Before June 1860 when the census was taken, Joseph B. Whipple evidently mar. for the 1st time, Maryette ?, b. PA abt 1841. She doesn't appear in later census records (nor can I find Joseph and Charles on the 1870 census). An Ancestry.com Family Tree says that Maryette d. in either Erie or Crawford Co., PA bet.1865-1870 and that Charles Whipple {7334} is her son."
