!SOURCE: 1810 U.S. Federal Census of Stamford, Bennington, Vermont lists family of Arky Whipple Sr., cited 30 Aug 2022. Lists one male age 16-25, two females under 10, one female 16-25.

!SOURCE: U.S. Censuses of 1790 and 1800 list John Whipple living in Stamford, Bennington, Vermont. 1790 Census gives 4 males under 16, one male 16 and over, and 4 females. 1800 Census gives 3 males under 10, 1 male 10-15, 1 male 15-25, 1 male 45 and over, 2 females 10-15, 1 female 16-25, 1 female 26-44. It is possible that Arky's father is named John.

Based upon information that I presently have, I am of the belief that General William Whipple was the biological father of Arca Morgan Whipple. Based on the information I presently have, Arca Morgan Whipple was born on April 12, 1786 in the Territory of Vermont (where in the fall of 1785 then Judge William Whipple had been riding the Court Circuit just prior to his death on November 28, 1785.) [Note: General William Whipple had no known children who survived infancy. --Weldon Whipple]
