Now on to Y... Annis O.Y Whipple, ... who m Charles Abbott Marsh.Y I ran across this info in my research on Eleazer Whipple as they were both from Richfield NY.Y According to the Biographical and Portrait Cyclopedia of Chautauqua County, NY, page 411, YAnnis D. Whipple who m Marsh was the dau of a David Whipple. It indicates David and his wife, unnamed, Yboth died when Annis was young and she was adopted by a Samuel Brown of Richfield NY which is where she was living prior to her marriage. She Yand her husband resided Portland, NY after the marriage and Annis d 1868 age 53. Y I also have conflicting info from FindaGrave.Y According to her entry, she was the daughter of a YStephen Whipple whose will indicated he left minor daughters Annis and Julliet and had a wife named Welthea.Y This Stephen was the son of Andrew Whipple of Lanesborough Mass.Y Stephen d 1821 Otsego County NY.Y The disconnected Annis b Nov 1, 1815 would have been under the age of 18 when he died and so matches somewhat with the other info about perhaps being adopted.YIf the father of Annis was Stephen, was he the son of Andrew or perhaps another Stephen related to the above Whipples in the area? or is FindaGrave incorrect and she was the daughter of the David who was in Richfield and had the daughter Eliza who is buried there.
