I also descend through a daughter of Nathan and Mary Hill Whipple. My line is: Clarence G. Cole.Clarence M. Cole.>Peter D. Cole married Ruanna Walker>Phineas and Mercy Whipple Walker >Nathan and Mary Hill Walker. Nathan's revolutionary papers in a letter from Mrs. Strutmeyer mentions Phineas and the daughter Mercy. Mrs. Strutmeyer descends through a son (Justin P. Walker) and wishes to join the DAR. In this letter she mentions that Nathan and Mary lived with Phineas and Mercy in NY and later that she lived in MI with family. This is true, as I have found the census. She moves back and eventually is buried in the old cemetery in Bennington. Hope this helps, but wish I could find Nathan's parents. Clarice
