Notes

• When they settled in Kansas in 1885, their 14 year old niece, Ida Jeanette "Nettie" Jerauld. went with them. Nettie evidently had been living with the Van Ripers from the time her family left Nemaha County, Nebraska and returned to Knox County, Illinois (after her mother, Sylvia, died in 1882 in Nebraska).
• In 1900 living in Arlington, Reno Co., Kansas.
