!SOURCE: Email from Tom Fenimore (email hidden) to Blaine Whipple, forwarded to Weldon Whipple, 31 Mar 2012. Tom writes: "I am forwarding to you information about a family that settled in Ohio in 1830 from eastern New York by the name of Ezra Whipple. Ezra was found on the 1830 Ohio census of Lorain County. Then the family moved off to Erie County and by the 1840 Ohio census shows that he had died. It seems that his death had occurred sometime prior to that date. His wife Lydia (Van Duzen) Whipple is shown as head in 1840 and 1850 as well in Perkins Township, Erie County. The family continued a permanent residence till the family died off and /or that the sons and daughters married and moved somewhere else. I have not been successful in researching the names of the daughters who married and passed away with another name."
