OBITUARY Mr. W. T. Whipple, an old and respected resident of this community, died at his home near here August 1, 1908. He was born in Clear County, Indiana, April 10, 1835. [Note: There is no Indiana county named Clear County.] Aged 73 years, 8 months and 21 days. He married Mrs. Amanda Pavy in 1877. To this union was born one daughter, Mrs. Wm. Reed, who died two years ago. To a former marriage was born four children: Mrs. Mary Taylor of Indiana, Mrs. Ollie Underwood and Alva Whipple of Texas and Charles Whipple of Chicago. The funeral services were conducted at the home by Rev. J. W. Booen of Calumet, Sunday August 2nd at 3:30 p.m. The remains were interred in the Red Rock Cemetery
