They were both listed on the 1865 RI census. Could this Robert be the son of Stephen B. Whipple {58296} and Polly {58297}? He is buried in the Stephen Whipple Lot, Coventry, Kent, RI. Rhode Island Deaths and Burials list the death on 11 Feb 1869 in Coventry, Kent, RI of Robert Whipple, age 53, son of Stephen and Polly Whipple. In 1870 Amanda Whipple, b. Greenwich, Kent, RI is working as a servant which could indicate that she is a widow."
