!SOURCE: Email from Lucinda Carter Baublis (email hidden) to Weldon Whipple, 21 Sep 2006. Spells surname Sturges/Surgis, adding birth date, death date and place and burial place. "They [Benjamin and Caroline] probably both died in Troy, but I am not sure of this yet. But they lived there for over 30 years. The grave marker shows the Dec 29 but not the year for Caroline Sturges' death. It would have to be after 1880, because she is still alive for the 1880 Census in Troy, Oakland County, Michigan (as Benjamin and Caroline Sturgis)."
