PA); this is Emma's first marriage. Arthur's parents are Seth A. Whipple and Alice Budd; Emma's parents are Henry Smith and Orilla Hinkson.

"I have noticed an error in the parents of the wife of Arthur David Whipple, Emma Smith. Emma Peterson was her maiden name, Smith was her first marriage name, as she was married to an Edwin J. Smith for a few years. I have documents to prove that Peterson was her maiden name, her father's name was Henry Peterson, and her mother's name was Arillia. The maiden name of Arillia still is under research, as Arillia has been listed with two different maiden names, the name you have listed is not included."
