!SOURCE: Email from Charles Dunford (email hidden) to Weldon Whipple, 12 Dec 2006. Charles writes: "Wilson D. Slocum is really Candace Dorr Wilson Slocum. Charles Allen Slocum [Candace's father] was active in the Dorrite movement and revolt. He named his daughter Candace after the movement's leader Wilson Dorr. Candace taught school for a time in Blackstone, MA."
