As to the wife of Seneca, The Biographical and Genealogical History of Wayne, Fayette, Union and Franklin Counties, Indiana, vol II pages 1016-1018 contain a sketch of Dr. William (middle initial R) Anness in which it notes that he married Miss Jennie Whipple, 1860, daughter of Seneca and Sarah (Skull) Whipple natives of Ohio and early settlers of Ripley County, Indiana. The Miami Valley Ohio marriage licenses lists license #4085 Whipple, Seneca and Scull, Sarah 1833. The marriage records prior to 1899 did not contain names of parents unless a minor child. Perhaps he had two wives both named Sarah same age but most likely one is just an incorrect listing in the source. The daughter of Abel and Mary Scull who lived in the area had a daughter named Sarah Ann b 12.22.1815, however according to The History of Warren County Ohio 1882, all of Seneca's family were noted as deceased. Sarah Ann Scull b 1815, according to county records, died 1899 and her name is listed as Scull not Whipple. None of this is conclusive proof and I have seen a couple sources noted for information on Sarah Sevil with dates of birth and marriage same as Sarah Scull. The possiblity is not likely that Sarah was married twice as she married Seneca at age 18 although she could have married after Seneca died 1881. According to the census, Seneca's wife Sarah, has parents b in NJ which is where Abel and Mary Scull originated, having moved to Ohio 1812. Unfortunately the cemetery records for Sarah does not give her last name.
