!SOURCE: "Bayonne Whipple Rose Huston," Find a Grave website, memorial 111568520, cited by Hugh Hudson (email hidden) in email to Weldon Whipple, 31 Jan 2015. Excerpts state that:
Fanny Elmina (Mina) Rose's stage name was Bayonne Whipple. She was the daughter of Rev. Rodney Sanford Rose and Mary L. Ward (His third wife).

Bayonne was a headliner in Vaudeville, playing Ruth in 'Ninety and Nine" at least 5 Seasons as well as others. She teamed up with Walter Huston in 1910 when she talked him into changing his name from Houghston to Huston as it would fit better on the bill. They became the team "Whipple and Huston". Huston wrote a play called "Shoes" for them. They appeared as a team and seperately. They traveled, rented apartments, and lived with Huston's first wife's father for awhile (acc. to John Huston, actor son of Walter) They also owned a cottage in Candor, Tioga, New York called "Rose Cottage."

... In 1915 [Huston] and Bayonne (Fanny) was married but they divorced on Oct 14, 1931 having been separated since 1929. ...

Fred Astaire, in his book, stated he was billed under some greats such as Bayonne Whipple and Walter Huston. Bayonne had others on the same bill with her such as Eddie Cantor and Jack Haley, as well as many others. Walter Huston stated that Vaudeville had destroyed a great actress.
